The Australian Made logo is one of the most recognised country-of-origin symbols in Australia and represents products that are genuinely produced in the country.
The Australian Made logo is a registered certification trade mark that indicates the products carrying it have been made or grown in Australia. All our Buddy locally made products were authorised to use this logo in April 2026, if you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to contact us.
The logo features a stylised kangaroo inside a triangle and is usually displayed in green and gold, reflecting Australia’s national colours.
Importantly, the logo can only be used on products (goods) that meet strict certification requirements. It cannot be used on services.
When you see the logo on a product, it confirms the item meets the official standards for Australian manufacturing.
The Australian Made logo was created in 1986 at the request of the then Prime Minister Robert J. (Bob) Hawke.
It was designed by internationally recognised designer Dr Ken Cato, who created the distinctive kangaroo inside a triangle symbol that has since become an icon of Australian manufacturing.
In 2007, the logo was slightly updated, with the triangle corners rounded and the kangaroo shape refined, while maintaining the familiar design Australians recognise today.
Today, the logo remains one of the most trusted indicators that a product is genuinely Australian made.
